After filling the jeep with gas the next morning (for about $2.50 per gallon, when the normal price at that time was $1.20 per gallon), I set out on the final 230 mile stretch to reach Inuvik. Enroute, I crossed the Arctic Circle and then the Richardson Mountains before entering the Northwest Territories (NWT).

We all have limited resources. For most of us, both time and money probably top that list. As a result, we are always making decisions, both explicitly and implicitly, about how to allocate those resources. How many of us dream about unique, off-the-beaten-path ways that we would like to use our limited time or money?
